In a 79 f150 4x4 Is it possible to hook up air conditioning with a 429 and cruise to an edelbrock carb what standard trannys are compatible. what is the address to L&L conversions

Guys, why are l & l headers reputed to be so good??
I know they have the lifetime warranty, but aren't the Hedman Elite the same damn thing?
They are also 14 gauge with 3/8 flanges and 5 year warranty on finish for $499.
