timing on ford explora

i have a ford explorer v6 4.0L sohc and i cant find the frunt timing marks has ne1 done this befor and could offer some advice

That engine uses a DIS system which means there is no Distributor Cap on that motor. You can not adjust the timing manually on it. The timing and advance is all determined by the ignition control module and engine control computer.

Yep, no timing adjustments (short of chipping or modding the PCM)..
