Carb questions.
K here's a brain buster. I brok the base plate on one of my carbs. I had a couple other POS's laying around so I used the lower half of the carb and switched all of the components over to the old one. I marked the float level and set it to that on the old carb. Now when I go to start it, it doesn't hesitate to fire when I give it a shot of gas. But when it starts running by herself and I give her another shot of gas to keep her running, she's spurters and dies and shoots flames out of the carb. I just got my timing done lastweek with my old carb on it and I haven't changed it or driven it since then. I have no idea what's going on, should I buy a new carb or what? Suggestions needed

Carb questions.
I have generaly found that as long as the `list` #`s are the same.. trying to switch parts around may work.... BUT when all else fails get a good rebuilt!! I think yours has failed..
