Power Window Cable Snapped
I've been driving all winter with my front left window duck taped up so it wont slide down into the door like it did when it first broke last fall. I had to open the whole door up so I could grab the window to tape it up. When I did I saw that one of the two cables attached to the motor had completely snapped. I don't think I can just buy the cable, or can I? Or is the cable a part of the motor in which I need a whole motor? The motor seems fine though, it runs. It would be a shame to have to get a whole new motor just for the cable. I'm sure they would charge alot.
If anyone know anything on this subject as to what part/parts I would need to buy if I tackle this myself would be nice. I'd really hate to take it to a Ford dealer if I don't have to.

PS. It's a 2002 Ford Explorer
The cable is part of the power window regulator and not sold separatly so I bought the whole regulator asembly kit.
Now that problem is solved, I hope installation will be fairly easy.
It's too late now, but you probably could have gotten the cable from salvage.
Try to figure out why yours broke, before you fix it.
