tag information

OK, I have read the vin decoder and tag information thread but have a small problem,

The truckwas involved in an accident before I got it and appears that he Drivers side was hit and replaced, but there is no tag information.

Can anyone help me tell me if there is another place to find this information?

I am trying to figure out what gears are in the truck

1999 F-250 SD super cab 4x4 V-10

If you crawl under and check the tag on the rear axle it will give you the code.
