Chrome is going to be shiner and more mirror like, while the polished will be more of a grey, just as any polished alumninum looks. The chrome is easier to maintain, because all you need to do is wash them, while the aluminum will dull after a few years. And unless you want to re-polish them, they will never have that "new" look again. However that might be an advantage to some people, because if you want to spend the effort to replolish them, they will look brand new each time its done.
Personally I would get the polished and have them powdercoated in black.
