keyless entry and locks
hey guys...
i just bought a 2k2 f350 4 door long bed...huge truck, but a great truck by the way. anyway...how can i figure out if it has power locks. i did the 8 times on/off thing but nothing locked or unlocked...but i would have to believe that a 2002 has keyless entry. i have key fobs from my trade in which was a 99 f250. please help if there is anything you can do...thanks in advance

It's interesting that there's somebody else here with that same question as you. Apparently he just bought a '99 that was recently brought in on trade. Seems that the previous owner kept the key fobs.... See if you can track down the guy that bought your old truck and ask him what he did.

Hey- I just got a 99 F250 and didn't get any key fobs with it! 
Anyway, if your 02 F350 has power locks, there would be a switch on the door panel for it, irregardless of RKE. You must have the drivers door open when you try the key on/key off thing. It might be 5 or 8 times before the locks cycle. My 99 is 5 times w/RKE, 8 times if it has factory installed alarm w/RKE.

Not all the SD's come with keyless entry even if you have power locks. I just put in a keyless entry module on my '04 PSD f250, and it wasnt very fun, but it works and they do make aftermarket keyless for every vehicle. Good Luck sounds like you dont have a factory keyless module.
