Thanks for the info. I've had the same experence with FordCummins. After many email attempts and phone calls I actually got a person. Even though it was an achievement to actually speak to a person, I was treated like I was totally dumb. I'm NOT bashing them, its just that their customer service needs work. Thats why I am thinking about using Eire Preformence Enginerring who has all the parts I need. I have emailed autoworldmt and have yet to see if they will respond. Hopefully they will.

Just for the info, does Eire have a website? Haven't heard of them before. Reliable Diesel out of Mesa Arizona is said to do conversions and parts as well, but I had no response from them trying to call, and they are not on the web.

That must be here in Mo, , but I hadn't heard of them Good to know should I do another and don't want to go the way I have, or decide to change out the trans, which is a possibility, if what I hear about the auto boxes behind the Cummins turns out to be true.

Any help would be great!

Why not add some spice to the swap, put in a DT466 from an IH! .

I would love to add a DT466 to my F-350 4x4, but I don't have the kind of access to the IH engines as I do with the Cummins engines. And I don't know if its possiable or who has done it.

I could get access to a DT414 but I think my father would be a bit upset to see his tractor torn apart for that swap.

I have called autoworldmt many times. Never a response, not a returned phone message or a returned email or anything. It is most likely bad timeing on my part, or maybe they are on vacation? Are they easy to reach at cummins-conversions web site?

Thanks,
John

the cummins-conversion site is just a forum like this one. You could also try Peak sales: http://www2.itexas.net/~peaksale/conv.htm

They tend to kind of watch the site, but it isn't theirs. They also do some racing, so they may just be away....

i was to lazy to read the whole thread, but heres what id do... Id put in a 12v and a 6 speed NV4500 tranny, then ya can get a granny in it. Wich is always nice to have somtimes. but you could go 24v for more power, but the 12 is easier to deal with. less electronics and more mechanical parts in it.
