I have a 67 f250. Just bought it and it only has 66k. It sat alot
and I'm doing a little prevenative maintenance. I was going to change the belts on the Alt and I stripped the lower bolt that goes in the block. Any suggestions on how to get it off?
Hi Leon, if you rounded the head of the bolt, and there is a peice of bolt long enough, you should be able to grab it with a large pipe wrench, also squirt some wd40 on the bolt where it attaches to the block. if that doesn't work, you can cut it off flush with the block, then drill it out and re-thread. I hope this helps you
hey if you have access to a mig welder you can weld a nut on the end of the stud you dont have to worry about the weld sticking to the head beacause its cast iron i ran an exhaust shop several years you this procedres many times.
