1994 explorer power steering
I just bought a 1994 explorer 4.0 4x4 and the steering seems to freeze up a little after a turn it takes effort to turn at first but then goes real easy would this be the steering pump? it sqeaks alittle when you turn the wheel when its parked

Power Steering?
I had a similar problem in my Company Truck, the steering would work sometimes if I was turning with my foot on the accelerator but most of the time would fight me. Went and got it serviced turned out to be the Power Steering pump failure. Oh and it was on a 80's Chevy 3/4 ton truck. Hope this helps.
