Thanks for the compliments! I really do want to go to the Supernats, but I think next year's will be the soonest. I need more shakedown time on the truck to be sure it's in complete working order. Not to mention this regular job crap my wife says I have to do. I got a new screw-in type adjustable fan thermostat last night and some 160 thermostats for the heads, hopefully between the two I'll get the overheating issue resolved. It may come down to the electric fan isn't big enough for the flatty (16 inch, 2100 cfm).
Even better, I have just about completed a bracket to mount to the driver's water pump, to which I'm mounting a Speedway Motors universal power steering bracket, to which I can mount the ps pump. I've got about $30 in it so far, but $20 of that was the speedway bracket. It's still a heck of a lot better than the $310 gearheads wants for just their bracket and pulley.
And the doors! The new original type seals won't let them close all the way. What was the quote a few days ago in another post? "Shave the seals" I may have to do that. The soft foam part that goes on the inside door edge near the cab is like an overstuffed pillow.
