Torque converter

1987 Bronco II 2.9l with automatic tranny (has overdrive). The torque converter will not lock up and has a hard time downshifting. The rpm's has to be extremely low for it to downshift from about all gears. Thank for suggestions.

Well if you say it's the torque converter.......................

Is your fluid up to level?

You need to change your point of focus here as trannies and valve bodies go bad a lot more often than torque converters do.
