I got a test done and it was DTC P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected. Should I assume it was a one time thing or should I worry about it? How do I shut my check engine light off? Also I need to raise my idle up about 200rpms I cant find the adjuster anywhere, can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks
Idle speed is computer controlled and is not adjustable. Don't dink with it. If the idle isn't right, then there is a problem, most likely the IAC.
Misfire is likely a plug, wire, or coil. It was not a single occurance, but had to have occurred on at least two consecutive drive cycles. If you can feel the misfire, it's still there.
The CEL can be reset by unhooking your battery for 15 minutes.

I never felt the misfires. It got about 10 below when this happened so I put some heat in and havent had an issue since then. Maybe a frozen injector or something? What is the IAC? My idle when in park or neutral is perfect but when I put it in gear it drops about 200rpms and starts rumbling whenever I stop and start. It started happening at the same time my CEL came on. I cant live with it the way it is so do you recommend getting it looked at?
Also- I put new spark plugs in last winter but didnt feel like replacing the wires, could this maybe be the problem? What Cyl is 1?

Could be a bad injector of a leaking injector. You could get a noide light and test the injector but I would check for spark first. Also on all Ford engines, standing at the front of the truck looking toward the tailgate. The left side starting from the front goes 1, 2, 3, 4. The right side starting with the front 5, 6, 7, 8. None of that Chevy BS 1357/2468
