I got mine from a local dealer for pretty cheap. Whatever you do, make sure you get RACOR or MOTORCRAFT (Racor).....
Its best to avoid the "what if's" associated with Wix or whatever people are using now.
as far as i understand Motorcraft IS Racor....Racor makes them, Motorcraft put their box around them. 15,000 is the interval, its in your manual. I did mine at 10,000 just for grins, to see if it was super dirty and needed to be changed more often. It wasnt, so next time ill change at 15,000-20,000.
I get my filters through shopdiesel.com. They have racor and motorcraft. They are the same filter but racor comes in a plain white box which is cheaper than the fancy motorcraft box. Prices are a heck of a lot better than the dealership. If you buy in bulk they are cheaper yet.
Kinda looks like International VT275, 4.5L's have the same filters and the fuel filter kits have been posted less than 30 bucks. Check them out locally.
Go to or call your local International truck dealer and ask for the filter kit for their 4.5L truck. It is the same as what Ford uses on our 6.0L's. Confusing yes, but saves us all a bunch of money.
I paid $27.79/kit at IH dealer which is cheaper than Ford and even Oilguard (where I bought my previous one)... both are Racor made, but just less expensive at IH dealer.
I posted in another thread here as well, I pay around $32 for the kit, this is after taxes. Before tax it is around $29. That's at the International Dealer.
I just picked the filters up at the local International dealers for $36 and it took me 20 minutes to change them. Ford stealer wanted $70 for the filters and $180 to change them. That wasn't too hard to figure out.
