I have read that when change drums to disc brakes that it is bettter to get GM calipers cause they are bigger and are able to stop quicker. If I were to use them how would they mount.
I have got a 1969 F-100. Thanks
Adam, I would mount them in the bed while I was hauling them to the trash dump. You have got to stop listening to those jar heads that don't know a thing about real trucks.
They got you good with that one. :-)

In the cool still quite of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
I usually use s-10 sliding calipers when converting to rear disc brakes, but it probably wouldn't be that hard to make them work for the front either.
On a rear disc setup I use a bracket made from 3/8" flat stock welded to the axle housing. Its cut in the shape of a "C" and has two tapped holes where the slider bolts thread in. If your having trouble with the shape, take a look at an s-10 spindle. stick your nose right on the end of the spindle and look at how the caliper mounts. make that shape out of a piece of flat stock, and you have your bracket.

Hoss, you must have forgotten that you left that other site. We don't put them parts on our trucks here, and we don't use that kind of language here either. Your mouth needs to be scrubbed out with lye soap.
