input bearing puller
Sears has in it's catalog an input transmission bearing puller of the three jaw type, have any of you used one to dismantle their tranny? I've been looking for the tool to remove the bearings from toploader type tranny's and have been unable to locate any. I hate to pay the $250 for the Sears one if it can't do the job.

I think your thinking of the clutch pilot bearing. I was refering to the large transmission input bearing that is inserted into the tranny.

For that bearing you will probably have to dissasemble the transmission then use std bearing removal tools with a press.
