intake carb adapter interchangability?
I'm looking at getting a 1bbl to a 2bbl adapter online.
it is made for the 200ci mustang engine. Im wondering if it would fit
a 300ci 75 f-150. If the bolt holes line up, i could drill out the main
intake hole if it is smaller.

for the trouble of drilling out the throat of the carb. and trying to find a 2bbl that would fit, a person might just want to look into the 1 to 2bbl adapter available from clifford performance that is meant for the 300 and will use fairly common carbs from 302's and 351's. I did this with my '85 300 and it really surprised me with how it woke up the engine, even though the carb looked ridiculous sitting on top feeding into the intake.

the clifford adapter was like 50- 60 dollars. I can get this one for dirt cheap. I'm just wondering if the bolt patter is the same on the intake between the 300 and the 200. I'll find a carb to fit it in the junkyard and rebuild it.

yeah, ive looked at pepboys, autozone, ect. none of the retail stores seem to care about the inline ford motors. All I find is 2 to 4 bbl adapters and the like. Heck if they sold a flat plate of aluminum, i could probably make my own. I just cant figure buying an adapter from clifford for $50+ dollars when all it is, is a plate of metal with some holes in it.
