Ok...The wife tells me I've got to cut down on the truck mods for a little while. I've done my intake, Tipton chip, and triple gauge pillar in the last two weeks. I was planning on doing exhaust this week but she slammed the brakes on that idea. I really need to do something though because I want to exercise my chip. It's waaaayy to fun to just keep it down low because I don't have exhaust yet. Soooo...here's my question:
Can I delete the muffler and see an increase in HP and flow while reducing EGT's for the time being?
What about removing the muffler, installing a "Y", and running duals that exit in front of the rear wheels with some nice tips?
I'm just worried about using this Tipton chip to it's potential without an exhaust mod. Thanks in advance for your advice.
I ran the BTM for only a few weeks after chipping. EGT's climbed way too fast and had to pull my foot out of it, even if simply pushing hard while getting on the interstate. Wasn't much fun and I knew it wasn't going to work with pulling the 5er.
Now with the 4", I rarely get close to the 1250º mark. Makes it much more enjoyable to play.
