I have an '88 4x4 ford f150 which i would like to lift the truck enough for 33's but also level out the truck. For a body lift, it is about $200 with bumper brackets and grade 8 bolts. Is there a way to level the truck out? Larger coil springs? shaving blocks in rear?
body lift = dumb idea.
suspension lift = good idea.
You can get leveling coils or you can get a lift and they will usually level the ruck when you lift them. ie- a complete 4" lift lifts the front 4" but lifts hte rear 1.5" or something... oh, btw dont do a body lift.
i should have mentioned i am still in highschool and have to pay. I dont plan on doing hardcore mudding and offroading. Making the truck a good looker.
im in high school too... i know, funds are tight and money is dumb. thats right. haha, buyt seriously, You can do a 4" for hte cost of the front springs. Do a shackle flip on hte rear axle.

you'd be surprised how many ppl here dont have thousands in cash to spend on nothing but their play toys.
i'm still in college and steadily working on graduating and i still seem to work on my junk, i just look for ways to do things myself instead of buying kits or paying shops to do something i can do at home with a grinder and a welder
search for lifts b/c we have discussed this issue till WE are blue in the face!
