I've got an 04 CC that I'm bringing into the dealer tommorrow for a transmission flush. Should I have them change out the external filter when doing the service? Also, how easy is it to do myself? I've seen pics of where it sits, just don't know if I have to disconnect return lines, etc when changing the filter. Thanks

--suggest changing the internal filter(if ya have external you some kinda fancy mod)along with the flush,,$$ a little more
Sorry, yes it has the torqueshift which has that external filter. I read that article, but couldn't tell if you can take it off without disconnecting return lines or something else.
No matter what, whenever you have your trans fluid flushed, you should always have the filter changed. It may cost a little extra but it'll save you a new transmission in the long run.
