Xfer case ?
Ok guys (and gals) I am a complete dummy when it come to the transfer case how exactly do you change the chain in a 83 F350 4 speed trany

buy a factory service manual. it will tell you how to do it. or if you have a GOOD trans shop in your area, one that is highly recommended by people that have used them, not recommended by the tv or radio, let them do it. i had a friend who has a trans shop do mine. $250, and all bearings were replaced with the chain

im not sure it would be wise to just tare the t case apart and try to figure it out as you go ,if your not familiar with the internal workings of it. then again if its not your daily driver,go ahead,get a detailed shop manual and read up on it first.then take your time taring it down,take pictures and right down some notes as you go and do it.thats what i suggest.it would really be a benefit if you could have the help of someone that has bone this before . good luck.-billy
