compatable beds

I have an 82 F250 longbed/standard cab. What beds will swap with no modification to my frame? My bed is shot and i'm not having luck finding one in "decent" condition. I realise the body lines might not match for newer years, but are the mounting points the same? Thanks!

From what I have been able to determine, any 1980-96 bed of the same design will fit. Too bad you're not closer to me, I have a 1990 F250 longbed/standard cab I am parting out. The bed is in pretty decent shape.

1980 thru 1996 only difference is over the wheel wells on 87 and newer.bolt locations and gas filler location is the same.

on the 87-96 the wheel opening has a slight flair,on the 80-86 it is recessed like the front fenders

Last question...i think. Are there differences between the F150 and F250 beds, or will either one work as long as it is the same length?

The wheel wells are also rounded on the 87up and straight across the top on earlier.
I recently put a 87 bed on my 83 and the gas filler barely reaches the opening in the bed, it looks like the mounting flange on the filler tube is the wrong angle also.
I went back to the j-yard and got the filler tube for the 87, it doesn't look longer, maybe the rubber connecting hose from the filler to the tank is longer on the 87.
