4.6-5.4

How much trouble is it to go from a 4.6L to 5.4L? Currently, my 01 F150 has 4.6L, but was told that If I really want to tow anything I would be better off with a 5.4L.

it depends on what you want to tow...

you can't tow 10K lbs with one (at least not easily), but you can easily tow about 7K lbs

the 5.4 trucks had a different drivetrain setup. so it would be best to just buy another truck.

Ok, well...I guess I will just keep the 4.6L and put money into it. My love my truck almost as much as my wife.... Thanks for the reply.
