Cooling Problems
I've got a 93 2wd drive explorer its has about 58000 miles on it and im having a problem. My gauge keeps moving never really staying in one spot. I've replaced the water pump, radiator, hoses, and thermostat. The weird thing is that I don't think my coolant resivoir is helping in keeping the engine cool. If anyone could give me some insight i'd appreciate it.

Sounds like you've got an air bubble after doing all that cooling system work. Once it's cool, take the rad cap off, and run the engine filling the rad as the coolant goes down when the t-stat opens up. It might take a while but you should be able to work that bubble out.

since there are bends and such in the lines it is possible to get air trapped in the system when you work on it and the system is sealed pretty tight if its working properly so backin72's suggestion should work if you just have some air trapped in there

Did you check the temperture sensor on the intake manifold? Sometines they go bad or you just may need to clean off the connection. Also look for any chaffing on sensor wire. Intermintant grounding can cause this problem too. Also what color is coolant, you may have a leaking head gasket. See if you are loosing coolant over time.
