i'm in the process of getting more lift but i'm having trouble getting the bolts out of the sleeves. the nuts are loose but the bolts just won't budge.....
they most likely r probably fused together which means they r not coming out...i recently worked on my springs myself and some looked like they 'melted' together...just for fun i tried to get them out with a three foot cheater bar, sledge hammer, and whatever else i could find and they did not come out
you r going to have to cut or grind the head of the bolt off or cut the bolt between the hanger and spring...you could also torch the head off which if u do yourself u will probably be carefull and not burn up the hanger like some jack a$$ previously did...lastly, i also used energy suspension poly bushings and used a lot of their grease...it is real tacky with teflon that u can even get at autozone
Best way is to burn the rubber out, then remove them, then grind/cut one side of the metal bushing down to the bolt, insert into a vise, then air hammer the bolt out. You can air hammer (or impact) the bolt out using a big enough air hammer or impact while in the truck. Make sure to put antiseize on the whole bolt when you put it back in.
