So it begins..

Today I had the urge to finally do what i've always wanted to do with my F350 and paint the interior trim pieces black.. well the ones that were dark gray (will post pix if interested).

I also ordered the walker BTM, i have a question though. Im a welder so attaching it wont be an issue, is there anyone here who has installed this muffler? Do you just measure the length of the muffler and cut accordingly? Will the BTM fit over the stock piping or will i have to cut exact and butt weld it?

The BTM will slip over the stock pipe but you will only shorten the pipe upstream of the muffler. The 'S' pipe will need to be flipped over 180º and cut shorter. Things will line up pretty good this way. You can cut off the factory hanger on the rear of the muffler and reuse it on the BTM or just use 2 new standard hangers and weld them on the BTM.

hmm, well i installed the btm muffler today. Im not all that impressed, i cant feel a difference at all when i step on it and the only way i can hear a difference is if i have the windows down, then I can hear the turbo more and it sounds a little bit throatier. Will this pipe get louder as time goes on? It sounds about as loud as stock IMO.

It won't get any louder but you do have improved exhaust flow over the factory muffler. I only ran the BTM for about 6 weeks before realizing I needed the larger exhaust to lower the EGTs I was beginning to see with a chip.

I ran the BTM for a while as well and was satisfied with what it did. I needed a bigger exhaust as well so out it came.
Funny part is, I couldn't give it away. Nobody wanted it even though it looked like new.
