I'd get the biggest and longest 'flows' you can, at least 3 chamber and offset NOT center in/out I have 3" 3 Chamber center in/out and they are too loud, people can hear my truck blocks away. and the drone while driving down the road is annoying.

The flowmasters are good mufflers. I hadn't heard about the sound complaints, but you can always just turn up your stereo

If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

I've got Hooker Max Flows. They are completely unobnoxious (actually quiet) when driving sanely, but watch out when you hit the floorboard with the gas pedal.

i'd think twice about 40 series mufflers, they are loud!! if you want a very nice sound get some 30 series mufflers. i just put a system using these mufflers on my f-150 yesterday (monday) with tail pipes out to the rear reese hitch. they sound excellent they set off the engines cam lope and it has a nice rumble going down the road. and it's not very loud when you stomp on the pedal. just my opinion, i can't believe i waited this long for a sweet system like this. i think 30 series are the way to go. now it's up to you. i've tried so many different combo's it's unbelievable. have a good one. Which Mufflers?

I put some cheap turbo's from my local muffler man for $12 each (2 1/2") they sound fine to me . Sound "choppy" at idle , when the chunk winds up, they're really intimidating

Get Cherry-Bombs. You can find them here in Rome, GA. If they are available locally in your handy-dandy automotive superstore I'd get them. I have mine sitting behind a 454 stroker and a 5:33 axle. Sometimes I find myslef turning OFF the engine when passing the Georgia State Patrol. They're not to be used for leaving church, though...

I guess you could say cherry bombs are one of the most well known brand of glass pack. They do sound good but are about as loud as you can get without going open headers.

I didn't like the sound of flowmaster but went ahead and put them on my mustang because they are of excellent quality. The steel is thicker than most mufflers. However the sound kinda grows on you after a while. Now I actually like them (30 series i think). They sound really nice on a warmed up 302. Don't know how they would sound on a M
