I have a 1991 F150 351W, need help as to what kind of bolt on applications I can do to the motor to get more power out of it without having to rebuild with high perf parts? Thanks.
Seriously, I got rid of the egr and did a MAF conversion, and put on a 3 in exhaust minus the cat and it drives like a new truck.Picked up a noticeable increase in mileage too. I have an extra 3 in cat back system minus the muffler sitting in the corner of my garage if your interested $100 +shipping
If you have dual exhaust and a big carb, spend your money at a good dyno tune shop. Have them dial in your jetting and your advance curve. Best performance money you can spend without investing in speed shop parts.
well since its speed density. you can install a cam (35-255-5) computer friendly. headers, Bassini Y pipe with or without cats. 3" exhaust, Heads, headers, bbk 56mm throttlebody and maybe an trickflow upper/lower intake.
whats your budget? you can do exhaust work for a couple hundred, ignition upgrade for a couple bills, cam is farely cheap but may require new springs. this is if you can do most of this yourself. just installing an msd coil, ford 9mm wires and new plugs .55 gap and bumping timing to 12-13* btdc with spout removed is fairly free. also a K&N drop in filter or FIPK
