XL Upgrade
I've added manual towing mirrors to my 02 XL and wanted to know if anybody has added the mirror turn signal/clearance lights to the manual mirrors. i did not want to add the full power mirrors with the lights as i did not want to have to rig up a switch and modify the door panel. any input on adding the lights?

Would probably be easier to get the power mirrors with lights already in them. No rule saying you'd have to connect the mirror-positioning motor. 
Otherwise, you are looking at cutting the mirror housing, mounting a light, running wires, etc.

I read in a post about somebody that broke then lense on the mirror, that you can buy the front part of the mirror with the light in it seperate from the mirror itself, does that make sense?

i must be too **** about things but i did not like the idea of forcing the mirror to move due to not have the motors hooked up and also having the little heated icon on the mirror and not having the heaters hooked up, hence why i bought the full manual version
