Spring Hanger Lift?
So my question is has any one on here installed one of these style of lifts. I guess the spring hangers bolt in for the front lift and you get get new blocks for the back. Looking at the 4" lift kit. Just want to make sure it keeps the factory ride dont need it to be any stiffter. Plus is it safe?
the latter being the cheaper and less involved.Mine is stiffer than stock w/
bilsteins but in a good way(less body roll)."Is it safe?" what do you mean?
seven high grade bolts on each side, welds and steel are high quality. My kit
is guarenteed for life.I don't tow heavy,sometimes I carry 2000# in the
bed and tow a 12ft work trailer(maybe 2500#),does fine(for 35's and lift).
In the back I replaced the stock block w/a single 4" tapered block. Some
kits require you to stack the blocks
.In the future I may have some 4"springs custom made.About $350 through a local spring builder.Mine rides
pretty rough unloaded,if I add a 1000# to the bed it's as smooth as a half ton.
I'm not sure,I have a 350,but to keep a rake you might have to add a leaf
to the rear springs.Mine sits totally level now.As far as 4*4ing it's pretty
flexy now, handles better in the rough stuff than stock.
