i decided a tuner! i think!
alright, after a blitz of a few days and many hours of reading the threads, i think i have decided about getting the sct tuner. i just wanted a few opinions before i dive into the money. i don't tow or race or anything, just really want the most efficency out of my truck, and this seemed to match, i don't care about making 500 hp or anything!
but question, should i get an exhaust first because of egt? i think this only applies to those who want to romp around all the time but i want to be sure. thank you.

I am heading that direction in a couple of weeks. A SCT tuner with custom tunes but first I must do the recall/reflash. As for an exhaust, I have no plans to get one. I will not be towing anything extremely heavy nor have plans on taking it to the track or racing some ricers. Great choice and good luck

I am, well was, in the same boat, mostly wanting better mpg on my 6.0. I ended up buying tuner and exaust. Look at it this way... a tuner is almost as much as a good exaust. Add them both up and you are *maybe* 1/40th the cost of your truck. Is that really considered a large investment for the little extra peace of mind?
