correct engine color??

the best color match i have found is (odd enough) walmarts color place royal blue in the semi gloss. stay far away from the dupli color junk. if that engine is not 100% oil and finger print free it will not stick. i have had great luck with the walmart paint. it does not burn off and still looks good on the 4 engines i used it on. it runs .98 a can. i just bought more to complete my 352.

The Old Ford Blue is the correct color for the engines on these trucks. I've used the dupli-color brand paint on the engines on some of my pickups and it seems to work OK for me. I have had a little bit of a problem with the paint peeling off on the intake manifold around the carburetor. I usually have to touch up the engine paint about once a year.

I agree with Ford390gashog. I used the duplicolor Ford Blue DE1601 on my 352 and it seemed to be of poor quality and Stained easy IMO. My machine shop painted my new 390 with Aervoe Ford Blue and its holding up good. Good luck with yours
