Cold air intake effects..

What are the benefits and fall backs of a cold air intake? I have a 94 ranger 4.0L and am thinking about different mods (exhaust, air intake, plugs, plug wires, etc) I am mostly interested in sound and fuel economy.. thanjks

Cold air is deniser than hot air, meaning that more oxygen to the cylinders for a better fuel burn and more horsepower.

well i will say that there is one thing to think about when adding mods. KNow that to see true gains from whaterver you add on you need to add somethiong else down the chain to use the full compasity of the first item. Though most cone filters on CIA make a really cool nosie when you put your foot to the floor! )
