Hello-
So, here's my situation- I have a 2003 F250SD, 5.4L with 3.73 limited slip gears-
I am planning to tow a travel trailer of appx. 6000 lbs, maybe 500-750 tongue weight. This falls within the guielines of the capacity of the truck-
Do I also need a brake booster kit, of the type the that has been mentioned in previous threads?
Trying to figure what I've gotten myself into- Thanks for replies-
You will need a "BRAKE CONTROLLER" to run the electric brakes on the travel trailer. There are many to choose from. Probably about 90% of the people here will tell you to buy the Tekonsha Prodigy. (I would agree)
Yes, just like charlez said. Any trailer over 2000# should be equipped with electric brakes and you definately want to use them! You can't go wrong with the Prodigy.
