Heck no Krewat!
Me loves NY!
Went for the first time with andym last summer. He's from Buffalo himself.
Just kidding I prefer Upstate NY myself, but I'm a suburban hick-wanna-be ... I grew up in Mastic/Shirley when there were 1/10th the houses and there was still woods around to ride my dirtbike
I plan on waiting for the kids to grow up and getting the heck out of here. 100 acres somewhere sounds attractive ...

1FineBabe, 4x4 are cool, it just means you can go more places and not worry about getting stuck,
A 4x4 translates to camping on the higher mountains and enjoying the some real fresh air and enjoying a nice cold frostee.

You know, we took it up to Tahoe in December and it was great not having to put chains on it and taking it thru the unplowed streets.
So in a way I guess you can say I have taken it 4x4 before, if that counts.
Plan on taking it to those "hard to access" places in the near future.

Cool... yes, snow is fun
Get used to how it handles in 4x4... before you go into "hard to access" places. And don't go without someone else behind you with a 4x4 and a tow-strap "just in case".
Really hard-to-go-into places and you're going alone? Get a winch.

Krewalt, I agree with you 100 percent.
1FineBabe, I always keep a shovel and axe handy in the truck too when I go to the mountains. It will help if you get stuck and comes in handy when you need a cook fire or camp fire. "Take care of your Bronco, and she'll take care of you" _______ Buck

If you want a real challange your first time out, try Lions Back in Utah.
Just kidding. Only the really brave or really dumb try it. You ever see that video of the Blazer taking a nose dive off a rock on Amazing Videos. That was Lions Back, It is a Pinicle of rock that goes up I think around 150 feet, narrow and no way back down except the way you went up. You do a 50 point turn, and hope your breaks hold.
Moab Utah (Slick Rock) has a dedicated area just for Rock Crawling and getting down with 4X4 extreme. You are allowed to go just about anywhere you dare to take it.
