i went to change my oil today and when i got under the truck to drain it i noticed oil that had run down the side of the rear of the engine, and also oil around the top of the oil filter housing, it looks as if the oil came from the top of the engine so i got up on the top of the engine and looked in the vally and there isnt any puddles of oil there but you can tell that there is oil residue down there, wondering what you guys think it could be, pedestal o-rings? i also saw another guy asked about ccv mod, and someone posted that you could get oil like i have or similar ( i think he said i could have oil drops on the driveway) so could all my problem be that? i am going to post a picture, hope it works.

There's all sorts of things up there it could be. The turbo mount pedestal o-rings and the exhaust backpressure valve actuator arm are pretty common. Tere are also o-rings on all the high pressure oil passage bosses in the heads. Could also be the high pressure oil lines.
You'll need to give it a good degreasing and run it up to see if you can spot it. Might help to pull the passenger side intercooler tube to get a better view around the turbo base.
allright, thanks, i got to head back home in about 4 days so i will have to take it in then cause i dont have my stock airbox with me right now, i wanted to put syn oil in today, do you guys think if i switch it, it will leak more cause the syn oil flows easier?

I had oil in my valley. Couldn't find the leak, then I put some dye in the engine and use a neon light. Found that when the engine was rev'd, it would squirt oil from the high pressure line. Checked the line and it was loose. A few turns of the wrench and the leak was gone.
