52 interior
I have a 52 F-1 Deluxe and I was wondering if anyone has any picures of the original style interior, especilly the door panels. At some point a previous owner trashed all the original interior and had some poor replacements made that I absolutely can't stand. I would like to go back stock in these areas but so far I haven't found any pictures as a reference. I would also like headliner and rear cab panel shots if possible. Thanks for the help.

There are several books that show pictures of the interiors. One of the better books is Don Bunn's Ford F-Series Pickups 1948-1956. It only has one really decent picture of a 5-Star cab and I wouldn't say you could build off it. I'd try to scan it but it would break the back of the book. Are you going to buy from a vendor, or have them made up locally in the same style (but not exactly OEM)? They weren't terribly fancy designs, it would be easy to make something "close" to OEM.

As I remember my 52 Deluxe had the common gray headliner and it rolled down behind the bench seat. I think behind the seat was three pieces that worked around the long tray box. The kits are available at Sacramento Vintage Ford they are not too bad to install but go slow. The door panels had a metal trim that the door panels slid into and buttoned in. There were some small metal panels that were covered in the same color cloth as the bench seat and the arm rests bolted to these along with window and door latch handles. These small panels are apparently VERY tough to find. Send me your E-mail I MIGHT still have some pictures on a disk.
