Brake Light Switch HELP!
I bought a new brake light switch for my 93 Explorer and planned on switching it out today. I followed the directions in my Haynes Manual, pulled out the retaining clip and disconnected the electrical connector. The switch will swivel up and down but I cannot pull it off the side. I tried to help it out with a flathead, still wont move. Help!

Ok well apparently it is listed under the brakes and the electrical in the Haynes book, the electrical has the better instructions. You have to slide the pushrod over and since mine was a little stuborn I tapped it with a hammer a few times to loosen it up and it slid right off. Wasted a lot of time for such a simple task!
