Ratcheting sound from E4OD when pulling away
I have a 93 F150 with the E4OD. Recently it has been making a "buzz" or ratchet noise only when the tranny is up to operating temp and pulling away from a standing start (Only in forward gears) It reminds me of two gears just barely touching each other, you know when their teeth are almost clear of being meshed. Is it in the parking assembly? I havent taken the extension housing off yet so I was just curious if anyone had an insight in the situation. It also goes away in the matter of a couple seconds, and occurs intermittently. Thanks in advance
