engine swap

I bought an engine from a wrecking yard.The guy said it was rebuilt and as far as i can see its pretty clean. The engine code says its a 1975 block It"S a 302 has a single point distributar and is carburated, any problem dropping my HEI dist in it and what to look out for Its going in a 1983 F100 stepside

your 83 dist,fits as long as its 302.you have to do a lot of changing going from 75 to 83.be sure to use the early flywheel they changed in 81.

Hey 312 thanks for the heads up on that one I put the 83 flywheel on so I"ll be swaping that back I also noticed that the spark plugs are a different size will I have to go to a hotter plug any info on that would be great

spark plugs should be ok.ive seen your setup before and it ran without a problem.they went to small plugs in 77.ford made other changes in 77 and the motors never sounded as good after.
