im looking to do some major body work to my 87 br2 i want to make it a convertable almost like the early broncos nyone know of any kits i could look into before cutting the roof off i wanna be able to take the roof on and off
Well my brother had inquired about this for his ....He talked ot a guy that could make one out of canvas like material. But you'd have to have some kinda bar system I guess to hook it too ....As for a hard top I would think its more of a talk to a fibreglass guy maybe could do ya something up ....I have never heard of a kit to buy to do this mod easy ...But ya never know whats out there.....TR
There is a site that mentions it, if cut a certain way, you can make a hard removable top from another cut off a doner. I would look into removing the huge windows, getting them cut down shorter, losing 4 inches from the bottom would allow sheet metal to be placed and rolled under for an attachment to your body.
I built a removable rear cab section and along with a tonneau cover will enclose the back for winter. I've heard of guys using a cut down fiberglass cap from a Ranger but have never seen one. I'll try to get pictures of the rear enclosure in the next week or so.
