i have a 1978 f150 ranger xlt package, the rear end is a 9in ford, my question is what front end would i have, stock was supposed to be a dana 44, but this truck has a dual shock w/ coil spring suspension, instead of leaf spring suspension up front and on the bottom of the pumpkin is stamped 720. does anybody know what this is. my 96 ford has a dana 44 upfront, but it has 44 stamped on the pumpkin. any help would be great. thanks

It's a dana 44.All F-150's came with coils up front. I believe the dual shocks were an option on 78/79 F-150's.
