What if I.....

First off, I have a 99 F250 with the trition v8. I was reading in other fourms about this, if I put in a TC lock up and lock it from a dead stop would it run the 1/4 much quicker? Can I do this without damaging anything?

In first gear the line pressure on the lockup plates would be to low at idle speeds to hold the lockup clutch and you will burn up your torque converter.

You can't lock it in at idle the engine will stall. I wouldn't mess with it you are looking for trouble..IMHO
