Back Door Handle
Back Door Handle
My back door handle has come loose. You can take the back door handle and spin it all the way around 360 degrees. Its not physically attatched to the door and I am wondering what attatches it? It looks like a C clip almost but i dont know. Can you buy a replacement for this? The door will shut but pain in the butt to reopen. Any ideas?
when i first bought my bronco II i had the same problem. I tried to install a retaining clip on the original loose latch but it didnt work. I finally just ebayed it and bought a brand new handle from a company called tennessee auto. Cost me about $23 shipped which is the cheapest i found. Installed it and now it works great. I'm not sure if it matters but when i installed it i put a small bead of permatex around the handle to keep the moisture out. Here is a link to the auction where i bought mine. Real high quality handle.

i just replaced the handle assy. on my 86 bronco II last week ,i ordered mine from bronco graveyard.com it is held on buy 2 nuts. just have to remove tailgate interior panel and you have access to it..took me about 20 mins and it was done
I just got done replacing the rear hatch door handle. I bought it from ebay tennesee rock auto. Worked Great and only cost 23 bucks with shipping. THanks for all the info.
I noticed that the handle which Tennesee Auto sells is for the tailgates with the pop-up windows. My 1989 B2 doesn't have that feature. Would the handle still work with my application?
