Vibration Going Up Hills
I have a 1974 F100 302 engine, FMX automatic, that has a pretty significant vibration that only occurs going up hills, it is especially noticible when the vehicle speed is around 5 or 10 miles per hour to start up the hill, then under acceleration the vibration starts and the whole truck shakes up to the top of the hill where the speed is about 30 mph. On flat ground it does not do this under acceleration.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if its a suspension/driveline vibe or a engine miss vibe. First check the u joints and trans/engine mounts. Has it had a tuneup recently? Often bad plug wires will act up on a hill like that.

It's like 73Custom mentioned, it a process of checking, and a process of elimination, to verify where the problem is from.
Check engine and transmission mounts.
Check for vacuum leaks
Have the steering components checked, tie rod ends, track arm, center link, kink pins, loose front wheel bearings.

You also might want to check the slip yoke on the tranny. You also might have the bearings worn out in the transmission that hold the slip yoke. That happened on my truck. Replaced the bearing and it was good to go.
