Steering Box Location
It is mounted 1" closer to the firewall than they say to mount it.I put it there because of my motor mounts. It is good where it is because the steering column is inline with the box.If I move it the 1" would need a universal joint.Where I put it I had to trim the cab mount bracket and 1 bolt is thur the spring mount bracket.I think they set it forward !" so you don't have to do the triming.Ok I'm getting ready to box my frame so if I need to move the box I can.It would be easy to do.I'd like to keep it where it is if it will drive alright. What do you think?

You are probably right about the reason the box is supposed to go one inch further forward. It would not be as good a kit if it required trimming the cab mount bracket and caused interference with the spring mount bracket. The only reservation I would have is the steering linkage. Have you connected the linkage to see it it works okay. Do the wheels turn the same amount in either direction and does everything line up or will you have to modify parts of the linkage also to make it work.
