another.... tire size ?

I have a 67 f100 with 4" lift, pretty much stock f250 highboy height (4" block in the back, and for me 4" lift coils up front)... Im looking to get some 38.5x15x15 ground hawgs.... which equal about 36.5x12.50, right? Im willing to trim my fenders, and maybe a 1" body lift. Will these tires fit well with just fender mods and small body lift? (If I dont go with the ground hawgs, I will probably go with 35x12.50 bfg m/t's)

you'll be close with a 35x12.50 as you sit right now... with that body style you'll need another 3 inches to clear the ground hawgs at a minimum... 1 or 2 inches will let you clear a 36x12.50 and not have any problems..

If you have the stock Dana 44 with the mini-king pins I would not bother going with 38s if you plan on taking the truck off-road, 33s are pushing that axle to the limit off road, imo.

All you will do is rip those tiny 3/8 bolts right out of the 4-6 threads that hold the mini-king pin in to the knuckle. Then you will have to bore out the king pin holes to either 7/16 or 1/2 (which leaves little metal between holes) and tap the knuckle and then you will have even less metal in the knuckle to hold the larger bolts.

I cracked mine in half between the bolt holes and it pretty much nuked any chance of a good welding job because of the metal type (looked cast to me). I do believe I bought the last of the mini-king pins from JBG a few months ago, maybe they have more in stock now.

If you are going to put 38s on that axle, I would at least upgrade to a ball joint axle or I would get replacement mini-king pins before I attempted trying 38s off-road.

i've ran 38.5x11.00 boggers on that axle with no problems, and that was with a pretty hot running 390.. but i keep the truck very light- 4900 lbs before the mud weight... i found the breaking point to be about a 40 inch tire.. jmo once again though, it all depends on the terrain and how crazy you get with that little skinny pedal down on the floor and how much power you got...

these tires do not measure 38.5", even though ground hawg puts it on the tire. They are around 36.5". I dont have a dana 44, because I dont have 4wd. The biggest I want to go is with that ground hawg. Im still debating between that and a 35x12.50 tire, because this is only a 2wd.

wow! my bad... i just assumed 4x4 with that lift and that size tire... depends on what you're gonna do then, if you're gonna stump jump it and make a 'baja' truck outta it- i say stick with a 35x12.50... if you're gonna go for just looks and pavement appearance, what the he11, go for the big boys!!
