Question I was wondering

do any of you have dual exhaust on any of your excursions. And is it a true dual exhaust and what type of mufflers do you have on it, and how much did it cost.

I haven't heard of many with true duals but what kind of sound are you looking for? It will be the same as on the pickups but you will hear it more inside same as with a van. A custom dual system on pretty much any vehicle will run about $250-$500 depending on what you get and where. Running them off the cats with a mid length magnaflow will deliver a fairly mellow tone, replace the cats with 2 high flows if you can and that will help alot too. Keep in mind that anything will be fairly noticeable inside, just plain loud outside will also be annoying inside LOL. I did a station wagon at one time and ran the pipes out the rear with nothing but a cross flow superturbo and couldn't stand it inside but the noise was cut in half once they were behind the tires.

I am looking for a loud deep tone for my excursion. I want to unleash the beast of the v-10. I want to run the exhaust straigh out the back.

Hmm, If its got a V-10 I don't know if you will like the sound much. But I would still go with high flow cats and fairly long Magnaflows 24" body length or longer to keep it toned down some. As I said, it seems that the way the air moves behind a vehicle it can get fairly loud inside somthing like that. Probly dual 2.5" pipes too. Also if straight out the rear you run the risk of the exhaust comming in around the back door if its not sealed properly.(other reason I changed the exits on my wagon).
