yet another glow plug question
I replace the GP solinoid and checked all the GP's with a test light on my 93 7.3L E350 van. When I activate the plugs one plug smokes and melts the connecter. If I disconnect that plug everything else works. Is it just shorted out? If I replace it will that fix the problem?

If you have a digital ohm meter you could check the resistance.
It should be between .75 and 1.5 ohms.
More or less than that means it needs replaced.
Use only Motorcraft/Beru ZD 9 glow plugs.
Autozone has them for 9.99 each.
Oops I see you are in Canada so the dollar amount may be different if you have an Autozone there close to you.
