I have a 64 ford f100 with a 292 v8, i was wondering is on the firing order if 1 is on the left or the right... im trying to time it corrextly..

and timing it do i need it exact or 5 off either way?

Number one is pasanger's side nearest the radiator. Exact is not needed, but 5 off either way might be too far. Have you checked the Y block forum? they may have better information.
